    Dr Yazdaneh Galt

Principal Audiologist and Director of ACE Audiology

Yazdaneh Galt arrived in Australia in the early 90s with her two children and in 1999 completed her Bachelor in Psychology from Queensland University of Technology, mastering English in the process.  She then pressed on to complete her Master in Clinical Audiology from Macquarie University and then completed her Doctorate from Arizona School of Health Science.

Women are often challenged establishing a business alone. It took a lot of hard work and there were many barriers to break through before she could rest comfortable that her Bulleen clinic was on a sound footing. She is delighted to now expand her service offerings to Ivanhoe.

For the last two decades she has worked as an Audiologist focusing on hearing assessment, counselling and hearing aid dispensing. The business has also expanded with “state of the art” equipment for earwax management, paediatrics and the testing and treatment of balance disorders. She has received numerous awards over the years inclusive of a “Going the Extra Mile Award”, “Excellence in Clinical Audiology” and a much coveted “Outstanding Practitioner of the Year” in 2010.

Her daughter, Noora, wrote and directed a feature film based on Yazdaneh’s early life in Australia. Her film “Shayda” successfully entered the Sundance Film Festival in 2023, won the audience award and was sold to Sony Pictures Classic. Cannes best actor 2022, Zar Amir Ebrahimi plays the lead role of Shayda and has received many glowing reviews of the film and her performance of the role. It is on general release from October 2023 in Australia after showing at the Melbourne International Film Festival.
