Play Audiometry
From about the age of 3 children are usually old enough to wear a set of headphones and have their hearing assessed using a “Play Audiometry” process. This involves teaching the child to respond to a test tone by putting a peg into a board or other activity they find rewarding. This way a full hearing assessment can be obtained whilst having fun at the same time. Usually be the age of five children can respond by pressing a button in response to a test tone, as would an adult.
As hearing is critical for speech and language development as well as learning we recommend you do not delay in accessing a hearing assessment. Please use the links to “contact us” for further information or “Book Appointment” to request a preferred appointment time.
